The place of the Spiritual Master is above even that of mother and father, because parents give birth to this human body and the wealth of this world, whereas the second birth in spirit, given by the Spiritual Master through initiation and satsang, is divine, eternal and indestructible. There is no deity on this earth equal to the Spiritual Master. Spiritual Knowledge cannot be obtained without coming in contact with the Spiritual Master. Only by the service to the Master is the Knowledge of the soul acquired and only this has the power to take us across the worldly ocean.
