What is the point of placing a light in front of a blind person? If music is played to a deaf person then he will not enjoy it. He cannot taste the clarity and melody of the music. A donkey cannot relish sweets, but prefers mere grass. Similarly, devotees and the wise understand the importance of satsang. They keep the teachings in their hearts and benefit from them, but a foolish man denies himself the benefit of these things.

Love is fathomless, peerless and eternal. To express it is impossible. Without Divine Love in your heart your beauty, wealth and even your life have no meaning. Without purity of desire, your live is worthless. Everywhere you will find plenty of people who want riches and happiness, but hardly one who wants Divine Love, only some who is ready to cut off his head and stamp on it may enter into the City of Love.

The Importance of Sadhana
Sadhana (spiritual practice) leads to peace, happiness, prosperity and immortality. Purity of heart is to be attained through meditation, prayer, japa, kirtan, study of sacred scriptures and selfless service to humanity. Collective sadhana, group prayers and kirtan (singing devotional songs) have a tremendous elevating effect. Sadhana is a means to attain the goal of life. This means spiritual practice that helps the aspirant to realize God. One should do sadhana to attain the state of final beatitude. Only those aspirants whose minds are purified by vigorous service and sadhana will be benefited by a life of solitude. Constant remembrance of the Lord is the actual sadhana for God realization. Life is short; time is fleeting, apply yourself diligently to sadhana. In sadhana you should always aim higher and higher and aspire for higher and higher grades of spiritual attainments. Before you commence your daily sadhana, your must first invoke Guru's blessings. Then all your efforts will be crowned with success. Sadhana without viragya will have no effect.

The white light then works like the Chintamani, and it manifests as many colors of rainbow in meditation. We should meditate upon that Divine Light.

Even in a moment of forgetfulness, do not follow a teacher if he is a sinner, a hypocrite, an atheist, wicked, proud, critical, unsteady of mind, cunning, lustful, angry by nature, argumentative, greedy, unbalanced, given to partiality or deceit. Keep well away from such a person.

When God wants to call someone and make him His devotee, that person receives Knowledge. Lord Krishna wanted to draw Arjuna closer to Himself and make him a fearless warrior and a knower of the truth. He gave Arjuna the Knowledge which removed the barrier between them, Knowledge bridges the gulf between God and man, between the individual and the Supreme. A bridge connects two sides of a river. Likewise the gulf of ignorance is bridged by Knowledge. That is why the saints preached Knowledge. Incarnations and saints have come time and again into this world. Lord Krishna himself promised that whenever true religion became endangered He would come again to re-establish it and to protect the pious and the sages. He said, "I come in every Age."
