What is Truth

When a person is dreaming, the dream appears to be reality. At that time you do not know that it is a dream. A person realizes the falsehood of that dream only when he awakens, when he opens his eyes and finds out that whatever he was seeing in the dream is not there. In the same way, we also realize that this world is not real when we close our eyes. When we close our eyes and go deep into meditation, into Knowledge, then we realize that this would which looks real is not real. That which was true yesterday but will not be the same tomorrow is not the truth. Truth is that which es eternal, which is permanent all the time.

Village women carry water in pitchers on their heads, one on top of the other, while walking and talking with other such ladies. They don't hold on to those pitchers with their hands, but the pitchers do not fall. They balance those pitchers through concentration. We should be as adept at constantly remembering the Holy Name as a pauper thinks about money. He doesn't forget it even for a moment. He keeps his money safely and every now and then counts it to check whether it is intact. Similarly, one should remember God without forgetting about Him even for a moment.
