Six Things

Lord Rama was about to be crowned but instead he was exiled. Bharat asked Guru Vashishta Maharaj, "What kind of auspicious time has been chosen? Lord Rama has been exiled instead of being crowned!" Vashishta Maharaj replied, "Bharat, nobody can escape what is destined to happen. Loss & gain, life & death and fame & disrepute are in the hands of God exclusively." These six things are beyond man's control.
