What is the point of placing a light in front of a blind person? If music is played to a deaf person then he will not enjoy it. He cannot taste the clarity and melody of the music. A donkey cannot relish sweets, but prefers mere grass. Similarly, devotees and the wise understand the importance of satsang. They keep the teachings in their hearts and benefit from them, but a foolish man denies himself the benefit of these things.
