KNOWLEDGE

When God wants to call someone and make him His devotee, that person receives Knowledge. Lord Krishna wanted to draw Arjuna closer to Himself and make him a fearless warrior and a knower of the truth. He gave Arjuna the Knowledge which removed the barrier between them, Knowledge bridges the gulf between God and man, between the individual and the Supreme. A bridge connects two sides of a river. Likewise the gulf of ignorance is bridged by Knowledge. That is why the saints preached Knowledge. Incarnations and saints have come time and again into this world. Lord Krishna himself promised that whenever true religion became endangered He would come again to re-establish it and to protect the pious and the sages. He said, "I come in every Age."
