Devotion to God is like a shining crest jewel. The chintamani is like a prism and when light passes through this, it is split into many colors. Similarly, when you acquire Knowledge of the Soul, the Grace of the Master showers on you. The devotee then understands the omnipresent Holy Name and experiences the Divine Light of God. The white light then works like the Chintamani, and it manifests as many colors of rainbow in meditation. We should meditate upon that Divine Light.

People talk a lot about Gurus, but only that person who can remove doubts from our minds can be called a Guru. There are many religious teachers in this world, who are able to relieve you of your money but not your suffering. First test the teacher, and only then receive initiation and become his disciple. anyone who adopts a teacher without first scrutinizing him is sure to drown in the worldly ocean. Even in a moment of forgetfulness, do not follow a teacher if he is a sinner, a hypocrite, an atheist, wicked, proud, critical, unsteady of mind, cunning, lustful, angry by nature, argumentative, greedy, unbalanced, given to partiality or deceit. Keep well away from such a person.
