The Way to Salvation

Being with a gyani, a knower of Truth, makes seeds of devotion and services germinate in the heart. Infinite power is hidden in this seed of devotion, and this power is already in every human being. Meditating on Knowledge makes it manifest itself. Fire is hidden in a match, but friction is needed to make it spark. Likewise, the 'fire', the 'spark' of Knowledge is ignited through the 'friction' of breathing.

If you look at the ocean from above, the waves on its surface make it seem turbulent, but the deeper you dive in, the calmer you find it to be. If you dive deep enough, you even find pearls. The ocean has endless water, but the size of your container determines how much of it you can take. Satguru is like the ocean. The more open you are, the more sincere and ego less you are, the more bliss you will be able to experience. Infinite bliss is here for the asking, so why limit yourself?

But to have this ultimate experience, which is beyond happiness and sadness, you have to find the Satguru and know the way to be tuned to Infinity. The highest Reality is infinite, so when you attach your mind to it, you also become infinite. This is Knowledge, this is to be experienced. This is meditation. It is possible when you take the shelter of the Spiritual Master. He is the link between you and God. He can hook you up to the engine which is driving the whole Creation. This is the way to Salvation.

Spiritual Knowledge

Friends, that is like accepting that there is an oil well under your house. Simply knowing that it is there will not help run your car. You go on supposing an oil well beneath  your house but your car cannot run, your tractor will not move, because to run them oil must be extracted from that well. Similarly, our saints said that you have to receive Spiritual Knowledge  and then do meditation.

Ramcharitmanasa

"Mahima jasu jani ganrau,
Pratham poojiyat Nam Prabhau."
"Ganesh Ji knew the power and importance and glory of the Holy Name and hence he is worshiped first of all." Once there was a competition among the gods and it was decided that the one who won the race would be considered the greatest. All took off on their respective mounts. The vehicle of Ganesh is the mouse, so how could he compete? He remembered the Holy Name and realized its power. Today we talk about faith but no one talks about experience. Everyone says ,"Why do we have to attend satsang? We already accept that God exists, we are already believers. We have been taught about God from our very childhood. We have shrines in our homes. So there is nothing to worry about."

Satsang

"Mantra param laghu jasu bas,
vidhi hari har sur sarva.
Maha matta gaj raj kahan,
bas kar andush kharva."
"Just as an elephant, who is so big, is controlled by a small goad, similarly Lord Vishnu, Lord Brahma and Lord Shankar and all the gods are controlled by the Holy Name which is most sutable." Hanumanji captivated Lord Shri Ram by remembering the Holy Name.

Materialistic

Take any science. Usually the subject matter falls into three stages. First comes the idea that inert matter is only as it appears to or senses, and there is nothing beyond it. The process for formulating such a theory is called the materialistic or empirical analysis.

Karmayoga

Of all the various paths called 'Yoga', which is the best and most beneficial way to practice action? Can this path be followed at all times, and if not, what are the exceptional circumstance in which it can't be practiced? How do the arise? How can we be sure that the path we have chosen is the best? On what basis and though which method can we judge good and bad? What is the secret of good and bad action? The science which answers all these questions is the science of Karma Yoga.

Darkness

Once, Darkness (personified form) goes to the royal Court of Lord Vishnu to complain that Sun had been causing him immense trouble and harassment chasing him out. Lord Vishnu called for the Sun and asked it to speak in its own defense. Sun said that it was unaware of any such problem. Sun asked Lord Vishnu to call for Darkness as the former had not seen the complainant at all. But it was impossible for Darkness to come to the Court in the presence of the Sun. Darkness is no phenomenon by itself, absence of light is darkness.

Cosmic Energy

What is that cosmic energy which provides meaning to this body? This is what we have to understand. After understanding this fact, man understands his illusionary state and is able to acquire wisdom to experience the sublime aspects of life and existence.

Our approach in Life

A true soldier does not argue, a he marches, how success will be ultimately achieved. He is always confident that if he only plays his humble part well, somehow or the other, battle shall be won. It is in that spirit that every one of us should act.
It is not given to us to know the future. But it is given to everyone of us to know how to do our own part well.

Poem

Mankind is notoriously too dense
to read the signs
that God sends from time to time.
We require drums to be beaten
into our ears.
before we should wake
from our trance
and hear the warning
and see that to lose oneself in all,
is the only way to find oneself.

                   Mahatma Gandhi.
